The Turkish Red Crescent offers aid to Arakanese students in Pakistan
The Turkish Red Crescent has provided assistance with educational materials for 1.260 Arakan Muslim students in 7 school in Karachi city of Pakistan, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
In the Gulshan-e-Iqbal region of the city of Karachi, a ceremony was held to help with educational materials, which was carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent and the Pakistan Red Crescent, and the non-governmental organization Pakistan Alliance for Girls' Education. (PAGE).
The ceremony was attended by the Consul General of Turkey in Karachi, Cemal Sangu, officials from the Turkish Red Crescent, Pakistan Red Crescent and other guests.
Head of the Turkish Red Crescent delegation, İbrahim Carlos Camilo, in a statement to AA said that aid with educational materials has been distributed to 1.260 Arakan refugee students in 7 schools in Karachi.
Camilo stated that the students have shown a high interest in them and that they are very happy. /aa
