Canada faces fires
on 130 fires, caused by lightning flashes, have spread to western Canada, as this country is facing high temperatures.
Canadian federal government says it will send army planes to help emergency workers, to extinguish fires in British Columbia.
Earlier this week, residents of Lytton village were forced to leave the house. In this place, the highest temperature recorded in Canada was recorded, respectively 49.6 degrees Celsius. This village, on Tuesday was destroyed by fires.
Fires in this village - located 260 miles northeast of Vancouver - forced many of 250 residents to leave without taking their belongings.
“Brenda 15 minutes, the whole village was engulfed in flames ", said the president of this country, Jan Polderman.
Last days, extremely high temperatures have been recorded in North America.
Friday, the fire service in British Columbia reported that the day before they were registered around 12.000 lightning bolts. Hundreds of people have been warned that they will have to leave their homes.
Minister of Defense of Canada, Harjiat Sajjan said the government will provide assistance, including sending helicopters and military personnel, in order to extinguish fires that are endangering people’s lives.
Temperatures have dropped off in the coastal part of Canada, but in British Columbia, authorities said they expect fires over the weekend as well. /rel
