The king and the gift of the beggar

Every morning in a small kingdom, but rich, a speechless beggar brought to the king from an apple, and then he went.

The king who was accustomed to accept gifts far more valuable than this apple he brought him every morning, laughed at the beggar's account when he left.
All the courtiers laughed, for they had to act and think like the king.
The beggar continued to deliver his gift to the king every morning. Although it seemed monotonous, the king accepted the apple with an ironic laugh and placed it in a basket. After a while, the basket was so full that there was no room for apples.
One day, the king's most beloved monkey took an apple and bit it, but immediately threw him before the king. The bewildered king in the middle of the apple noticed a diamond. He immediately ordered all the apples to be opened and there was a diamond in all of them.
Confused, the king summoned the extraordinary beggar and demanded an explanation. He replied: "I brought you these gifts to understand that life every morning offers you a special gift that you forget because of the great wealth that surrounds you. This gift is every new day which starts with smiling at the other. This is the real diamond, o king!” – said the beggar as he left the palace.

Posts: Many things seem more important to us, but there is a good which transcends all and is like a diamond hidden in our hearts – this is the smile we should give to the one who needs it. Do we give our precious gift to someone every morning??
