Istanbul, arrested 14 suspected as members of the DEASH terrorist group
At least 14 suspects arrested in Istanbul for suspected links to DEASH terrorist group and conflict zones, said a security source, transmits Anadolu Agency (AA).
Provincial counter-terrorism units on 11 June raided simultaneously 20 address in 13 districts of Istanbul and makes arrests, said the source on condition of anonymity.
In year 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare DEASH a terrorist group.
The country has been attacked by the terrorist group many times, with over 300 people killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide attacks, seven bomb attacks and four armed attacks.
In response, Turkey launched anti-terrorist operations inside and outside the country to prevent further attacks. /aa
