A Dutch merchant named Maxwell Ifeanyi who has often visited Turkey, has converted to Islam taking its name “Xhuma Rejjan”, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Maxwell Ifeanyi, originally from Nigeria, has begun researching the Islamic faith after being influenced by people he met in Turkey's central province, Kayseri, which he has frequently visited to conduct trade.
Ifeanyi who applied to the mufti and changed his name to “Xhuma Rejjan”, by means of a conversion ceremony in the Mufti of Kayseri he was converted to Islam.
Mufti of the province, Sahin Guven, in the speech during the ceremony showed that Juma Rayyan has started research on Islam as it has been greatly influenced by the behaviors of the people in Kayseri, as well as from the morals of Muslims.
He stressed that Rayyan has been researching Islam for two years, showing that businessmen from this city also have a big role here.
While Juma Rejjan, said that he researched Islam after the attitudes of the people towards him and that in the end he decided to become a Muslim by giving the right decision.
After the ceremony, the mufti presented it to Rejjan, The Qur'an.
