The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia has sent a note of protest to the Embassy of Albania in Belgrade, condemning the burning of the Serbian flag in Tirana.

"We believe that such events damage the bilateral relations of the two countries, which in recent years have reached the highest point during their centuries-long common history", it is said in the reaction of the Serbian Ministry.
In response, it is emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, in this spirit, expects the competent institutions of Albania to do everything possible to identify and prosecute the authors of that act, "which are clearly visible in the published video, as well as they will notify the institutions of Serbia through diplomatic channels within a reasonable time".
